Born in Hässleholm in 1974, Janniz JÖNSSON studied at Malmö Academy of Music 1993-1997 and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris (CNSMDP) 1999-2002; Formation Supérieure: Harpsichord playing and accompaniement with prof. Cristophe Rousset, Pierre Hantaï och Emmanuelle Haïm.

As a soloist, assistant and vocal coach; Janniz JÖNSSON has collaborated with Emmanuelle Haïm (Le Concert d’Astrée), William Christie (Les Arts florissants) och Pierre Calmelet, (Le Madrigal de Paris) and is a regular guest at Drottningholms Slottsteater and with the swedish orchestras Drottningholms Barockensemble and ReBaroque.

2007 saw a small tour with the Goldberg variations and the inauguration concert of the Ingmar Bergman week at Fårö, where Janniz JÖNSSON performed harpsichord music connected to Bergmans' films.
