Studied 1993-1997 at the Malmö Academy of Music with prof. Dan-Olof Stenlund. Awarded with the highest degree in choral conducting.
Founded the Motettkören i Gävle 2002 with the aim to explore and perform music on the rim to the standard repertoire as the work NasdaQ Vocal Index; a collaboration with artist Ola Pehrson, recorded and broadcast in swedish television.
Janniz JÖNSSON started off as an assistant to Emanuelle Haïm in Il Coronazione, Paris in 2001, and premiered as an operatic conductor in 2001 with G. F. Händel: Amadigi di Gaula with Ingela Brimberg & Katrin Meerits as soloists (Visby, directed by C.-H. Fridén) and has since then worked with the dramatic repertoire in different constellations. Janniz JÖNSSON prefers the unknown and not yet established pieces and has conducted amongst others: Debussy: Le Martyre de St Sébastien, with H. Hackzell and Cavalieri: Il Rappresentatione di Anima et di Corpo.
Janniz Jönsson made his debut in genre "musical" in 2008 with fully staged productions of The secret garden, at Säve concert hall in Visby, followed by Curtains in 2009.
